The authors here give examples of the human mental state. This is a psychology book written back in 1934 and was digitized in 2005 At this time in history some ideas about getting
information from the human brain were somewhat primitive. Lobotomies are popular around this time. This book deals with the deviance of sex and incest in people.

Joseph Richardson Parke examines the laws of sex opposed to that of sexual desire. The book was designed to appeal to those in the legal and medical fields. He wanted his book to be able to be used in trials and medical examinations. He explains everything in scientific and
medicals terms. The book explores the natural laws that govern sex, incest and desire.


Jerrold S. Greenberg, Clint E. BruessSexuality Education: Theory and Practice ” Jones & Bartlett Publishers (2004)

This book is recent and deals with sex from an educational point of view. It not only views sex from the society’s point of view, but from a psychological one as well. Along with sex in general, the book with sex throughout the course of human history. The authors state the objectives/goals of sex and even though who oppose it and the reasons why they do such.

Carolyn Lehman. "Strong at the Heart " Farrar, Straus and Giroux (2005)

Carolyn Lehman's book is for teen readers, and for anyone who's survived any kind of sexual abuse. It contains stories of sexual abuse from various people. Although sex isn't viewed as that negative in the book it has some negative aspects. Sex/incest are main themes throught Solitude and this book portrays some of the negative aspects of sex and sexual abuse, the physical and mental.

Geert Jan Van Gelder. "Close Relationships: Incest and Inbreeding in Classical Arabic Literature" I.B.Tauris Publishers.

This is a study of the various facts and thoughts concerning incest and close-kin marriage found in pre-modern Arabic texts. Incest is a motif found in this book and 100 years of solitude. This is good guide to look at when pertanining to non-European views on incest.
